Food and drinks will be provided.
Hope to see you all there!
Hello everyone! We have a couple of big events coming up within the next few weeks so mark your calendars!
First off, the 1st annual Marissa Jimenez Memorial Duck Race Fundraiser will be held November 13th in the Cleveland State University rec center small instructional pool. We hope that all of you can attend. The grand prize is $1000.00! Second place wins $500 and third wins $250!
Please spread the word about this event, we would like to get as many people as possible to come. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell everyone! You can buy tickets in the civil engineering office, located at SH 107. Prices are as follows
1 duck - $10.00
2 ducks - $15.00
Quack Pack (3 ducks) - $20.00
A good thing to note as well, the owner of the ticket doesn't have to be present at the event as long as their information has been collected.
Second off, we will be having the annual End of the Semester party December 2nd. The party will be hosted at the Blind Pig. Come join us to hang out with friends, win prizes, and celebrate the end of the semester! More information on the party and location soon.

Well, after five intense months of effort the structure is complete. Plastering has been completed on the inside of the classrooms and started on the outside walls. The goal is to have the lights and power connected so that the building will put into service by the end of October. The restroom along with the leach field will be completed as funds become available.
Pictured in front of the new school building is (lt-rt) Julio Magana, Chairman of the August Pine Ridge RC School Expansion Committee and primary contractor for the project, and Richard S. Obratil, the EWB-CSU Project Manager/Site Engineer on the ground for the five months of construction.
We are hosting our second annual golf outing at the Aurora Golf Club in Aurora, July 25th, to fund raise for our current project. There's a lot of work that needs to be done in order to make the event a success so we hope to have a lot of you there helping out! To get involved, contact president Heather Duer or secretary Amy Kalabon and they will direct you on what to do next.
We've updated the site with new information of the current leadership of our chapter. Pictures from the trips and news events will be posted soon, so keep an eye out for them!
We're having a fundraising car wash on Saturday, June 25th at Sears on the corner of Broadview Rd. and West Pleasant Valley Rd. in Parma, Ohio. Come join us at anytime after 9! Spread the word and we hope to see you all and your cars there!

We are the Cleveland State University chapter of Engineers without Borders.
We've been a chapter here since 2008 and are currently working on a project down in August Pine Ridge, Belize, building a school which will also double as a hurricane shelter for the community.
